Tifereth Israel was founded in 1890, has been at its current location since 1966, and has always held regular minyanim. We have absorbed several different shuls and we continue to have a large and active membership. Tifereth is an OU member synagogue and is affiliated with NCSY.

Rabbi Aaron Cohen is the Rabbi of the shul. He is a warm and caring Rav always available to his congregants, involved in our lives and committed to improving our shul and community. He is an energetic speaker and teacher who is passionately supportive of Israel.

Our Rabbi Emeritus, Rabbi Solomon Weinberger, lead the shul from 1956 until 1998. His leadership attracted many of our members and kept them coming for his shiurim, guidance and wonderful chassidic stories.

Our congregation is composed of observant Jews from many backgrounds. Everyone is always welcome at the Tif and we encourage you to come visit us. Our Main Shul seats about 200 people. The adjacent social hall is used for kiddushim and special events. During the week we hold minyanim downstairs in a smaller room which typically holds about 50. Our Bais Midrash is stocked with seforim and is the location for our daily shiurim. We have recently completed construction on our Beis Hamedrash. Come by to take a look at the changes.
